Optimium ore
Optimium ore
Optimium is a metal found in small underground veins. Mine its burgundy deposits for Raw Optimium, then smelt the raw material in an ordinary Furnace to make Optimium Ingots.

Native Hytale 0.7.4: raised burgundy deposits distinguish Optimium from the iron ore on the left.
Finding a vein
Explore newly generated underground stone in the normal overworld. Veins contain three to six connected ore blocks and appear 24–112 blocks below the local surface. Existing explored terrain is preserved; travel into unexplored chunks to find deposits after adding this feature.
Generation supports Hytale’s normal Default terrain and its legacy ordinary terrain generator. Flat worlds, void worlds, portal destinations and other custom world generators are excluded. Optimium replaces ordinary stone, leaving other ores and constructed blocks in place.
Mining and smelting
Use a pickaxe suitable for iron ore. Each mined Optimium block yields one Raw Optimium and one stone cobble.
Put Raw Optimium in a Furnace with its usual fuel. One Raw Optimium makes one Optimium Ingot, with a base processing time of 14 seconds. The native furnace manages fuel, progress and output space.
The ore, raw material and refined ingot have separate inventory icons. Raw Optimium stacks to 25; ingots stack to 100.

Native Hytale 0.7.4: the refined ingot has its own painted model and inventory icon.
Uses
Optimium has a natural mining and smelting route. Existing Assembly Dock, Fleet Remote and Deployment Unit crafting costs are unchanged. The ingot now supplies the Range Extender recipe: 6 Optimium Ingots plus 4 Iron and 4 Copper make one mast.
Native gameplay checks cover mining, Furnace processing, inventory icons and saved ingots across reload. The revised ore and ingot appearance has been reviewed in game beside native Hytale materials. The ore and ingot art has human approval. Some sound listening and actual second-client checks remain open; see Compatibility and backups.
