Lune and progression

Lune and progression

Astral Reach starts with a reachable home-world bootstrap. The first ship and propellant need nickel, oil shale, stock iron and stock copper. They do not require the destination’s own minerals.

The playable resource route

Step Gather or build What it enables
Home world / Orbis Nickel and oil shale Frame plates, coils, rocket parts and finite propellant
Launch site 25×25 platform, separate console and Odyssey First funded expedition
Lune Titanium and aluminium First Thermal Shield
Home processors 12 titanium ingots + 8 aluminium ingots Press one Thermal Shield
Launch site Kestrel parts plus the shield Larger Kestrel Stack blueprint

Both currently supported rockets reach Lune. A larger rocket does not yet unlock a second implemented planet landing.

Explore Lune

Lune is a separate persistent world with grey regolith and finite ore deposits. Mine titanium and aluminium roughly 5–14 blocks below the surface. Bring enough tools, leave inventory room for your ores and preserve the return site.

An actual saved landing in Hytale 0.7.4. The ship remains beside its return control while you explore.

Landing sites are assigned to the expedition. Return to the control beside your upper stage’s landing legs to board for the prepaid ascent and home approach. The journey spends the 3,000-unit reserve already paid at home. /astral-return uses that same reserve; it does not provide a free journey, and on Lune you must be near your landing control. Older paid expeditions retain their recorded reserve.

Your gathered inventory returns with you to the saved home departure point. Keep that point clear. If it is obstructed, the reserve stays held until you can retry safely.

The wider system

The original model collection establishes this intended chain:

Body Resources Intended next upgrade Landing status
Lune Titanium + aluminium Thermal Shield Playable development route
Rustreach Vanadium + ferrite Pressure Hull In development
Nacre Lithium + cryolite Cryogenic Drive In development
Vesper Iridium + sulfur Radiation Core In development
Umbra Aetherium + void quartz Fold Beacon In development

The Destinations screen presents those bodies in a clickable top-down chart after reaching space. Lune is the available landing choice; later routes show their progression gates and remain locked. The chart has no separate 3D, drag, pan or zoom mode. Upper-stage landings and paid returns have representative native checks; passenger, camera and on-foot presentation still need refinement. The Fold Beacon is the intended terminal reward for this system, rather than a sixth implemented destination.
