Tubes, stops and branches

Tubes, stops and branches

A compact tube network

Every tube occupies one block. Straights, corners, verticals and rising or descending elbows let you route around a build. Clear panels show the path; attached coloured rims make connections easy to follow.

Teal tubes travelling horizontally and turning upward

Teal, coral, gold, blue, violet and white share the same connections and crafting costs. Colour is a building choice, not a restriction on where passengers can go.

Two entrance shapes

The Harbour Station and Overlook Station use an elbow entrance with a downward mouth and sideways route port. The Straight Sucker Station sends the route upward. All are open, automatic intakes with a yellow-and-black mouth rim and a quiet local suction sound.

Open warning-striped mouth on the white straight sucker

Hang a mouth two blocks above a solid landing and leave room to stand beneath it. F names the stop; boarding needs no key press.

Choose your destination

A three-way Tube Splitter connects more stops. Complete routes continue to work when an unused branch is open. If more than one destination is reachable, the intake offers a named list before departure.

The passenger experience

You shrink to about 30% size, with the camera facing the direction of travel. Tubes guide your movement; WASD cannot pull you out. The player grows back on the landing and regains normal controls. Interrupted trips retain a safe-return record for recovery on rejoin.

The Pipe Workbench supplies all 54 tube and station variants. See preview limits before building a larger network.
